Today we proudly announced our newest customer: Mayo Clinic’s Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP), one of the largest clinical laboratories in the world. Mayo will be deploying our advanced analytics solution across various departments, including the reference lab, Mayo Medical Laboratories (MML), to gain a holistic perspective of the organization and gather actionable, real-time insights into clinical, operational, and financial areas. These insights will help Mayo make informed decisions regarding strategic and day-to-day operations.
DLMP chair William Morice, II, M.D., Ph.D. says that Mayo sees advanced analytics as a way for clinical laboratories to create more value from laboratory test data. “Working with Viewics, we can create algorithms, pull data, and unlock a goldmine of information that will help us deliver high-value laboratory services and high-quality, low-cost care to patients worldwide,” Morice said.

Mayo Clinic has a reputation for being innovative and forward-thinking. The major healthcare institution has a vision of enabling its health system partners with better information around how they’re delivering quality and value through laboratory testing. The organization believes that data is the basis of a consultative laboratory practice, and, as such, will leverage data aggregated by the Viewics platform to become a more strategic partner to health systems by providing transparency, workflow improvement, and best practice support.
I’m thrilled that we’re entering into a relationship with an innovative institution like Mayo, which shares our vision of data analytics being the backbone to value-based healthcare. Not only do we anticipate this being an opportunity to deliver some of our leading solutions today, but we will be tapping into Mayo’s experience and clinical knowledge to enhance our product suite as we move forward along our product roadmap. This co-development partnership will be key as we continue to expand upon the solutions and best practices that we’re providing to the laboratory industry at large.
