How do you price the product?

We recognize that capital budgets are very tight. Thus, Viewics’ solutions are priced as a monthly subscription with a very low upfront cost. The monthly pricing is based on 3 factors:

~ # of users
~ # of systems
~ # of tests performed annually (to determine historical data size and future needs)

Do you require an interface with our systems?

Viewics does not require the expensive and time consuming interface you have to build out for other systems. Viewics only performs a one-directional extract which is most often done using an ODBC connection. Most labs already have this connection and won’t require anything else. Since Viewics automates the extraction process as well, system vendors don’t have to be engaged.

How do you make the queries run so quickly?

Most organizations have reporting solutions which hit their production database when a report is run or a query is created. The production database is not built for analytics and these queries often take hours, if not days to run. This also poses a significant risk of latency on the production system. Viewics extracts the data from the production systems and puts into a database and computing environment built specifically for analytics and “big data”. When you ask any question of the data, you are hitting our analytics data warehouse in real-time, rather than production. Our systems are built for analytics and enable you to run complex queries in a fraction of the time you currently experience.

How long is the typical implementation?

Our typical implementation takes 4-6 weeks. We are able to deliver the solution in such a short time period because of our focus on the laboratory analytics market. We understand how your systems work, what data you need access to and how to cleanse and structure that data so you have a product that you trust and can use right out of the box.

Should we be concerned about sending data out of our environment?

We follow Health Information Exchange Protocol and are fully compliant with HIPPA requirements. We are happy to perform a security evaluation. If you absolutely can’t send patient information out, that is fine too. We have many customers for which we provide the entire solution without pulling any Protected Health Information (PHI). We pull identifiers which enable you to get the analytics you need and still drill-down to the test level.

How do you access the data within our systems?

We have a very non-invasive infrastructure. We utilize a computer/low-end server which sits in your laboratory. Our automated extraction software communicates with your systems to pull the required data. IT teams like our architecture because:

a.) We are not punching a hole in your firewall

b.) You have complete visibility into and control over when, what and how data is being pulled.

What systems do you work with?

Viewics can extract data from your LIS, Financial, Payroll, CRM, Materials Management/Procurement, Time/Attendance and Billing systems. Many labs choose Viewics due to this flexibility and low-impact data extraction strategy.

How much cleansing is required to get the solution implemented?

Viewics' technology intelligently automates the data cleansing process which is usually a very time consuming activity in most analytics projects. Our deep expertise with your source systems and best practices developed over many implementations enable automated and rapid data cleansing and structuring. In addition, Viewics’ data models have the checks and balances to detect anomalies in the data which ensures that you have a product that is easy to use and data you can trust right out of the box.
