Multimedia Specialist

Experience - Two years CD-ROM production, video production, photography, graphic production, scriptwriting, lighting, and audio production are advantages in this position. Experience should include studio and remote production. Experience with Adobe Photoshop 4.0-5.0, Adobe Premier (or similar non-linear editing software), and audio editing software are very important. Should be experienced with routine media hardware maintenance and setup. PC computer experience is a must. Microsoft Office experience is a plus.

Business justification - Viewics plans to incorporate thousands of still/video/audio elements into content files for our product, StarFX™. The media must be assembled into finished, high quality Content products. Each type of media requires specific attention to maintain consistent quality throughout the collection.

Duties

• Preparation and assembly of media into content files: Images require color-correction and formatting. Video requires editing and rendering. Audio requires editing and normalizing. In addition, the media elements must be incorporated into BackDrop Content files using our SceneMaker tool.
• Preparation of media examples for web catalog: Example images from each content file must be composited with images of models and then reformatted for use in our web catalog.
• Participate in content product design: Write and assemble interesting and compelling sequences of scenes for use in Content products.
• Original media production: New media must be captured as still, motion, or sound elements for use in Content files.
• Organize media: Ensure that all media is stored for easy and rapid retrieval. Maintain relevant databases to associate media with its acquisition history and license agreements.
• Review stock image/media resources: Scan commercially available image banks for sources of media for use in BackDrop content products. Research licensing requirements.

Qualifications - Formal education in the multimedia disciplines is required. Team skills, writing ability, a good eye for visual design, and a good sense of pacing and visual story telling are keys to success in this position.
