Viewics follows an automated extraction, transformation and load (ETL) model that imposes no overhead on the IT teams at the customer environment. The Viewics Data Platform connects directly to a variety of enterprise systems and accepts data exports in popular file formats such as csv, xml, etc. Data is extracted from the enterprise systems at a specified frequency that is configurable by the customer, or in real time via an HL7 feed.
Once the data extraction process is complete, the raw data is transformed, cleansed and structured based on the customer’s analytics requirements. This data is then transferred to the Viewics cloud analytics environment via an encrypted connection. No inbound connection is made into the customer environment from outside their firewalls. The Viewics analytics server processes this data, encrypts any protected health information (PHI) and then stores the data in the appropriate data structures.
